DENMARK  🇩🇰
A range of test dates each month - results after 1-2 calendar days - all 4 parts on the same day
You choose from the available Speaking test slots when you book (you can see if it is "examiner-in-room" or "video call speaking" - both are the same and equally valid).

Test dates are added on a rolling basis and additional dates may be added if there is demand. If you wish to be notified for future dates that are not yet open, or for a possible earlier date than you can see, you can register your preferences here. We will then keep you informed about any dates that are relevant for you.

Dates for IELTS in our Norwegian locations can be found in the registration system. Additional dates may be added if there is demand.

Book IELTS IN NORWAY

Before you book, you can already use extensive and FREE preparation materials on www.takeielts.org

IELTS on computer is not an online test from home. It is a fully valid IELTS test taken in the test centre surrounding and accepted by all IELTS test receivers.
All IELTS tests include the individual speaking test face-to-face with an examiner. You do not speak to a computer.

For immigration to Denmark: "B1 test" = IELTS test with a result level of B1
If you need proof of a "B1" level only for immigration to Denmark, then take the IELTS General Training test. An IELTS score of roughly 4-5.5 translates to the B1 level required. This level will be  printed on your test report. The Danish authorities do recognise the IELTS test. Do not choose Life Skills B1, you can not use it or immigration to Denmark.

UKVI-IELTS ("SELT" test) or UKVI Life Skills:
This may be relevant only
- if you wish to live and work in the UK and apply for a non-study residency visa to the UK.
- if your university in the UK requires an UKVI-IELTS ("SELT" English test) (only some universities require this)
For information about UKVI IELTS or Life Skills for UKVI, go to IELTS for UKVI

Result date

Results are ready 1-2 calendar days after the test (IELTS on computer). For more information go to Test Results.

Cancellation, date change, refunds

  • All requests to cancel or change your test booking must be made in writing to the relevant test centre:
    🇩🇰 ielts@edu-danmark.dk or 🇳🇴 ielts@edutesting.no
  • It is not possible to change the test date and location across borders or from an in-centre to online test.
  • "Test date" means the date of your Listening-Reading-Writing test components

Cancellation and refund policy (not applicable for UKVI tests):

🇩🇰 for Denmark    🇳🇴 for Norway

IELTS Special Consideration policy: Occasionally there may be instances where you are unable to attend your test or are disadvantaged on the test day owing to illness, injury, or another exceptional event outside your control. Information about applying for Special Consideration can be found here. All such requests must be made in writing no later than 2 calendar days after the test date supported by evidence.

When to register

You can register close to the test date as long as places are available, but the test is in high demand in certain months close to important deadlines, so then there may be less choice or dates may fill up. Note that there are fewer tests held in/around July and December. Results are ready in 1-2 calendar days.

We recommend to book in good time before your deadline as your IELTS test results can be made available to institutions up to 2 years after the test date.
